I stepped cautiously into the compacted layer that covered my lawn. The more pressure I applied the deeper I sunk into its crisp white. It snapped at me harshly as I entered into its hallowed cave. I stood there motionless, observing my surroundings as the cool air whispered down my neck. Critiquing our relationship, a twitch to my fingers. I embraced the silence of the moment, feeling what I feel for what it is, embracing the uncomfortable.
